Boston Convention  (August 2010)   ServiceMaster Green of Des Moines was recognized as the second largest franchise in North America.  We are so thankful to have such a great team and wonderful customers.  What a fantastic way to celebrate our 30th anniversary!

Slip and Fall Product – NEW!    The potential for slip and fall accidents can be a risk management concern for many property managers. In fact, if a guest or employee injures themselves on a dirty and/or wet floor, this can have major impact on your business reputation and liability exposure. ServiceMaster Green is dedicated to helping reduce the risk of potential slip and fall accidents by offering slip-resistant floor refinishing. ServiceMaster Clean slip-resistant floor refinishing is not an acid etch treatment, an invasive process which generally increases a floor’s pore size, allowing dirt, grease and oil to soil the floor more quickly. And unlike many other slip-resistant applications, ServiceMaster Clean slip-resistant floor refinishing does not compromise the surface appearance or color. What’s more, the ServiceMaster Clean slip-resistance process is also beneficial for other applications, such as restroom tubs and tiles. We are very excited about this service offering, as it is in line with the level of clean our customers have come to expect from ServiceMaster Green. Meals from the Heartland    Last year we continued to “live our values” by participating in the Meals from the Heartland event.  Several employees brought non-perishable food items and school supplies to the office which were given to local food banks.  We raised $1,238.86 in donations from employees to help cover the costs of preparing meals.  75 ServiceMaster employees, friends and family volunteered their time last year at Hy-Vee Hall to prepare 21,600 meals that will be shared with the hungry people in the counties of Haiti, Jamaica, South Africa, Mexico, and others.  All totaled, Meals from the Heartland reached their goal of preparing over 4 million meals during their 5 day event.  We were happy to play a small part.  ServiceMaster Green is excited to participate again this year on September 4th and we are hoping to have even more participants than last year.  Please contact our office if you would like to volunteer with us.
